Emanuel Gherardi has provided recruitment and workforce management solutions to the Australian and international mining and oil & gas industries for over 20 years. In that time, he has worked closely as a trusted advisor for a range of organisations; from smaller exploration and family run businesses to some of the industry’s largest and most recognisable mining and oil & gas operators, contractors and service organisations.
Emanuel’s expertise covers all categories of employment from semi-skilled, trades and technical personnel to support services, management and executive level professionals. His experience ranges from the management and execution of individual candidate placements to the identification, workforce management and mobilisation of projects requiring over 300 personnel.
In 2002 Emanuel established EMG Consulting and over a period of 12 years he grew the business from a one-person operation into a multi-national mining recruitment business with operations across Australia, Singapore and Africa. In 2018 he re-launched Energy & Mining Group (EMG) with the prime focus of addressing the diversity and reputational issues the mining and oil & gas industries face today.
Emanuel is an advocate for gender, ethnic and thought diversity, holding positions on the committee of the West Australian Mining Club (Scholarships, Alumni and Young Professionals portfolios) addressing these very issues. Personally, he works closely with marginalised individuals in the community providing mentoring and coaching to a broad spectrum of individuals assisting them with their reintegration into society.
